Ideas can come from anywhere. Walking down the street, staring in the sun, or browsing forums. Ideas can come in leaps and bounds just by reading about what other people want to ask about or by letting their opinion and yours mix. It's always helpful to add to the community but you don't have to voice your opinion if you don't want to. The forum could spark your brain to an idea or though that would help your site.
